BAMISHE AYANWOLE: NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY OFFICERS MAY SOON BE ON BOARD BRT/LAGBUSES; AS LNSA BOSS OYEKAN MEETS LAMATA MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Management of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) and the Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Agency (LAMATA) has agreed to create an effective and efficient synergy for the benefit of Lagos State residents.
At a special meeting held at the Head Office of LAMATA, the General Manager of the LNSA, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan expressed the need for all Lagos State Government Ministries and Departments to join hands with the LNSA in ensuring a safer and more secured State.
Prince Oyekan condoled with the Lagos State Government, the Management of LAMATA and the family of Bamishe on the unfortunate incident of her death, while envisaging the incident will be the last in the history of the State.
While reiterating the commitment of the LNSA to ensuring the attainment of its mandate along the 6th pillar of the THEMES Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu through collaboration and cooperation among all residents of the State, Ifalade proposed the presence of the Neighbourhood Officers aboard all the regulated major means of Transportation in Lagos State through the issuance of special Cowrie Cards to its about 6, 000 Officers.
In her response, the Managing Director of LAMATA Mrs Abimbola Akinajo expressed her delight at the visit and the proposal for the collaboration proposed by the LNSA Management, while assuring the Team of the readiness of LAMATA to ensure the safety of its personnel, Passengers and infrastructures at all times.
She said the Agency is already collaborating with the Lagos State Taskforce and is very desirable of other working relationship as LAMATA strives to ensure top-notch services as it aims to protect its well-earned image.
Mrs Akinajo said she was excited with the various services provided by the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency and looks forward to an accountable relationship to ensure maximum utility is derived from such collaborations.
The two Agencies also agreed on other areas of collaboration to protect the assets, both human and materials, while hoping to discuss further arrangements towards the issuance of the special cowrie cards for LNSA/ LNSC Officers as soon as possible.
Members of the Management Team of LAMATA commended the Prince Ifalade Oyekan and his Team for the on-going reforms at the LNSA.
